Lets face it I am a huge LOTR fan and the thought of putting that into an MMORPG make me want to die inside, but I can understand using it's label to draw people into the game. I think they could easily turn MK into an mmorpg however and probably have a following of average size maybe bigger.
I cant really say I'm a huge fan of MK, I liked it's older ports on Sega and other systems super smash brothers took over as my fighting genre favorite after the 64 and game cube versions were released. I think it could possibly work if the right people funded it and spent a lot of time working out the kinks like with any other game. Since we all know most games when translated to an RPG, or an MMORPG don't allow you to play as the previously implemented characters, Those hero's would be instructors or quest teachers.
I could see MK being kind of like COH/COV mixed w/ a dekaron/2moons fighting system. NetherRealm Studios, NetherRealm Studios logo, Mortal Kombat, and all related characters and elements are & Warner Bros. Shaolin Monks (not sure on spelling) Was an action adventure RPG. Yeah, if you want to completely remove the feeling of the games you can turn anything in an MMORPG, even coffee cans and coca cola, thats not a reason to do actually do it.Īlso, would it be possible for you to actually write a reply in which you don't insult someone, or am I asking too much of your maturity now? Battle all of your favorite villains such as. Plz cry more on these forums, because the 10year old girl turned you down. Play as 1 of 12 characters as you venture through realms, such as The Dead Pool, Kombat Tomb or Kahns Lair. You can turn any game into a MMO, and I think MK would have a great deal of success. MMO doesn't always mean grindfest hermit. Its thoughts like this that brough us Back to the future on the NES. It is said that if one were to obtain all six Kamidogu with the Sacred Amulet, he or she would be. Despite its separation, the One Being would subtly influence inhabitants of the realms to re-merge them back into its true form. The realms were created by the Elder Gods, who split the One Being through the use of the Kamidogu. I think the answer to this question is easy: There is not going to be a MK MMO. Realm is the name given to a dimension occupied by a single world. Quick, lets turn them into a massively multiplayer grindfest, since we can easily capture the feeling of a fighter game (especialy like MK) in the current state of MMO's! Battle of the Realms looks set to treat the source material with respect, with more than a touch of Masters of the Universe about it. Yeah? Well so does Street Fither the Movie, so does God of War, Even Super Mario has the lore to be turned into an MMORPG. This can be put in the "rediculous MMO suggestion" box, right along with a Super Mario Brothers MMORPG, and a sonic MMORPG.ĭo you ever think before you write? Mortal Kombat has the lore to be a mmo. No offense, but do you people even think before asking something like this? Mortal combat is a FIGHTING game, it can be turned into an MMO, but only by taking out just about anything that makes Mortal Combat ehm.Mortal Combat. I don't know how pve would work in the game. That said, I'm on Twitter So holler.Ever think it'll happen? It could work with ethier FFA PVP or factions.

Oh, FYI, I'd love to write the Gargoyles movie for Disney. In closing, let me remind you that the geek shall inherit the Earth. Business-wise, I make big cheddar (not really) as a copywriter and digital strategist working with some of the top brands in the Latin America region. And yes, I've written sports for them too! Not bad for someone from the Caribbean, eh? To top all this off, I've scribed short films and documentaries, conceptualizing stories and scripts from a human interest and social justice perspective. I also write about music in terms of punk, indie, hardcore and emo because well, they rock! If you're bored by now, then you also don't want to hear that I write for ESPN on the PR side of things. On the geek side of things, I write about comics, cartoons, video games, television, movies and basically, all things nerdy. It was boring so I decided to write about things I love.
